Yes here is Thursday again!
And this week I thought I would go for a photo prompt… And boy have I found a gorgeous prompt for you!
I wonder what you will choose to take from this prompt… The heart, the hands, the sunset, the colours? Whatever you fancy!
I went with colours as they reminded me of the autumnal trees we saw at Disneyland and so looked through the papers and decided that the Howlstooth and Scaringbone dsp I had was perfect to go with the colours in the photo and teamed it with the Crumb Cake cardstock.
I started the page off by stamping Gorgeous Grunge splodges along the bottom part of the page using Crumb cake ink. I also used the splodges from French Foliage to add some different patterns.
Then I cut papers and cardstock to sizes that seemed to work. The sketch I was following was based loosely on this one I had pinned on Pinterest.
I inked everything on the page with either Tangerine Tango or Crumb cake using a sponge to darken and define the edges. I added the French foliage stamped leaves too which I fussy cut out of the Very Vanilla cardstock, and the little Paris stamps … Appropriate for the venue of the photo obviously!
Then the title I created from some new alpha stamps that fit my tiny circle punch – perfect! And of course some stickers. The journaling is on strips of very vanilla and then I also added some sticker words.
Finally some Liquid pearl dotted around the bottom to add texture and bling!
Love this page and whilst I admit when I chose the picture for the prompt I wasn’t expecting to do an autumn page I think it worked pretty well in the end! Not sure if this picture would have ended up like this without the prompt I have to admit! Good fun … And as I’ve attended my second funeral in two days today, it was good chill out therapy too!
Happy crafting!
