Colour my Monday! Crisp Canteloupe

Happy Monday all! Welcome to the beginning of the week! Time to play with some colour!

This week is my favourite of the In Colors for 2013-15 …

Oh I could use this colour all the time! So delicate, fresh and pretty!

Unlike the last two weeks where I struggled with what to do… I knew immediately which stamp I wanted to use to show off this colour… And the technique I wanted to use too!

This stamp is a Sheena Douglass stamp I bought in a set from Create and Craft ages ago. Isn’t it just fab! So so detailed and yet so different rom everything else I have! I knew that this stamp would look fab using the delicate Crisp Canteloupe.

I actually stamped it in Baked Brown Sugar and then used the Crisp Canteloupe to watercolour the image in, using the stamp linearly as a guide for light and dark areas.

I then matted the stamped image onto Early Espresso and a piece of the gorgeous Soho Subway dsp which is the same colour. How fab!

The finishing touches were the little pennants in the Early Espresso, the mats in the Early Espresso & Crisp Canteloupe, the rhinestones and sentiment from the Pretty Petites punched out of the cardstock and layered with a dimensional.

Gorgeous! Just love this card! I actually made this for a dear friend whose birthday was last month so this has had to wait an entire month to be shown! She is an architecture junkie just like me and I knew she would love it when she saw it!

Happy crafting!
