I grabbed some time last week to do a little bit of crafting with my dear friends. Unfortunately I didn’t get the whole day with them, but did grab a few hours to chat, craft and eat cake! Can’t argue with that now can we?
One of the items I made was this card, made using the scraps of cardstock I had left, (and pieces kindly donated by Mara) and using the fabulous People Like You stamp Mara had just had delivered … So yes I was the first to ink it!
I used my SU Stampin Write markers to ink it up so that the flower and stem were not the same colour and to give some definition to the sentiment, and then stamped it on the cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment section again onto another piece of cardstock and used the Decorative label punch to cut it out and then add it over the top of the original so that it just out of the picture.
I stamped the background piece with the fabulous Hardwood stamp … My new favourite stamp! In the blue … Think it was Baja Breeze but could very easily have been Pool Party and then added the gems and the buttons with the bakers twine knots.
I inked the edge with my pen in the Rich Razzleberry of the flowers, and then layered it on another piece of white cardstock and edged that with the Old Olive pen that I used on the stem of the flower and the edge of the sentiment label to tie it all in!
Pleased with this … And have to say I am loving this type of image with the lines to show texture and depth of colour, very cool!
