Ok this week I decided something… To do a new type of prompt for Thursday Treasures … Techniques! This is because I realised it was something I hadn’t done before and fancied trying! So this is this weeks prompt is…
I use patterned papers quite often… But usually I go for one main pattern rather than mixing them up. Now when I buy a dsp from SU or buy a kit this is usually very easy as they are coordinated to go with each other … So I just needed to pick one kit and go for it!
I chose to use the retired Howlingtooth and Scaringbone dsp to go with this picture of Maya at Disneyland Paris in the Minnie Mouse Halloween fashion area as it is a Halloween photo after all!
This dsp is quite a statement in itself and with the busy picture this has ended up being quite an “in your face” type of page! I decided to really mix up the angles and focus on mixing things up rather than coordinating to be honest. I used this pin as my inspiration for this. The stickers were from the Simple stories kit called Say cheese and these didn’t exactly coordinate but in this layout it didn’t seem to matter!
What do you think? Do you use multiple patterned papers in your layouts? Please let me know.
