Gelli plating fun!

A month ago I was preparing for the gelli plate class I was holding for my friends and watched the wonderful Barbara Gray doing her ‘thang’ on C&C and decided that I would create some more prints because she inspired me … As per usual!

Well I didn’t exactly do what Barbara was doing on the tv but I did create this lovely print which I made into a card for my parents who were visiting that day and happened to need a thank you card. I used the fabulous butterfly stamp that my talented friend Darcy designed for Paperartsy and some watercolours and ink to colour it in, and then added some gold (gold is this years black apparently!) stickles for added bling and texture!

I added the mount in Coastal Cabana cardstock as I thought it needed it to make the colours pop … But really this was such a simple card to make and a lovely one of a kind kind of thing. Almost feel I can say artwork in a Barbara Gray kind of way! Just wish I had some of her new stencils which look absolutely amazing and I think have to go on my NEED list very soon!

Happy crafting!
