Happy Monday one and all! Hope you are ready for some colour fun!
Well actually this week was a challenge! I don’t like the colour this week at all! In fact I never bought the ink pad as I didn’t like it and knew I would never use it … So this week I was restricted in my options!
This weeks colour is a REGAL one…
And I really can’t admit to having used the cardstock in anything before so I stared at the cardstock for a while before I came up with a plan. And the plan was … Regal bling!!!
I grabbed the most fabulous regal looking stamp ever Beautiful Baroque, some Versamark and some blingy tinsel gold embossing powder and set to on making this card!
I rummaged in the desk after stamping and embossing the main image, and sentiment using Itty Bitty Banners and found this Martha Stewart corner punch which I’ve had for an age and forgotten about! I decided it worked quite well with the image so did some punching on that. Next up was a scrapbook paper background I have had for years with a series of frames on it. It has become quite shabby at the edges with age and unlikely to ever be used as a page background and it so happened the frame fit the image perfectly and so cut that out, and punched matching corners!
Next up I went stash shopping again … In my own stash! I have realised how much stuff I have now that it’s all in one place and quite organised. So really making an effort to use it and not crave new stuff … I am not very good at the not craving new stuff, but at least I am now using the stuff I have more!
I found the little string pieces from a kit I had a while ago, and grabbed some of the fab pleated ribbon that was in last years catalogue and I bought from Helen. I then found a scrap of lacy type trim and decided they all looked lovely layered up with some dimension. Finally some adhesive pearls to finish off in a scattered design!
And guess what … Turns out I quite like Always Artichoke when it makes a card like this! Ha ha! Quite a sophisticated, and modern card! So not really like me … But hey it was indeed all my own work!
