Happy Monday! I hope this finds you well and already through the first day of the week unscathed!
It is time to play with colour and this week it is the turn of a SUBTLE colour, and a complete contrast to last weeks Rose Red…
This colour is so subtle I very rarely use it… But given this is the point of this challenge … Here goes!
I was inspired to use these fabulous feather stamps from Sheena Douglass as a result of my lovely friend Rae being featured on a magazine front cover with this fabulous card.
So I grabbed these stamps I have not used for ages and stamped the small feather flutter in the Blushing Bride, then a few in Soft Sky. Next I added some texture in Smoky Slate using some more Sheena Stamps.
Then I stamped some more feathers in the same colours and fussy cut them out. I then also stamped the sentiment and cut this out as a panel and edged it with the Blushing Bride.
Once I had layered it all up with some coordinating cardstock. Then I decided it needed some ribbon adding so added some trim and some chevron ribbon and finally a little bit of bakers twine. Then I added some Soft Sky ink to a doily before putting it under the topper and finally added some bling and added to an 8×8 card blank… Yes another big card! Love it!
