Sheena Douglass Embossing Folders

Embossing and wax resist watercolouring

I love my new Sheena Douglass embossing folders bought with my birthday money. My first play has resulted in 8 lovely embossed panels using lots of techniques, but the first one I am going to share is this …

I used some linen cardstock I had to hand and ran it through the Big shot in the embossing folder. Then I rubbed a candle over the raised embossed line art. This then provided a resist.

Next I washed the whole picture with some watered down inks … I used distress ink in this case but could have used either watercolours or SU inks. This provided a lovely washy washy finish with the white line art. Love it. Then stamped the sentiment and mounted the cut down image onto Real red cardstock to compliment the red welly boots!

Happy crafting!
