Yes I really don’t know why but I have been pulling out the Christmas stamps recently. After a slump of ignoring them for several months I have got a bit of festive mojo going! And so here is another festive card!
It was created as part of me playing with Distress Inks if I am honest. I decided to ink up the watercolour card with the inks… Think the colours I chose were Weathered Wood & Tumbled Glass and then tried adding a little ink through a stencil in some places .. Subtly though not as bold as I usually go for.
I then stamped the side border from the Indigo Blu set of stamps in Faded Denim and then added Santa and the text in Black soot. I then added a little more inking to the edge of the card using the Black soot to make it more in keeping with the images.
Then I mounted it to the side of the DSP which I found in the scrap box (I am trying to use this a lot at the moment to get it down to a more sensible amount… Think the summer hols and the princess may be able to help me with this!) and doodled some borders and inked the paper to pull into the colour and feel of the image.
Hope you like this slightly grungy card!
