Thursday Treasures! Prompt time!

As I am awake (god knows why as I feel shattered) I thought I would post this early! And so without further ado… this week just one word to prompt you …

I wonder how you will interpret this to do some scrapping?

I decided to hunt through the Disneyland pictures and decided on the one with the chairs for the mad hatters tea party… No more dreamlike than a bit of Alice!

I also thought that the Walt Disney quote which was on one of the Simple stories papers worked with this layout too!

I kept the base fairly plain and subtle with the Soft Sky cardstock, added some strips of Lost Lagoon to break it up a bit, and a nice bright Hello honey mount for the photo. This photo was one photo but I decided to split it to work a bit better with the layout idea I had. I wanted to use one of the project life type pieces of DSP from the Simple Stories kit as the main feature of the page so this went to the left of the photo and the quote I fussy cut out went to the right. I also threw a polka dot doily in too to break it up a little.

Then I took another one of the project life pieces and fussy cut out the pennant which I stuck at the top right and an arrow from a piece I knew I wouldn’t use to go bottom left hand side.

Love how this came together simply, and didn’t need a title because I could use the project life piece as the title! I have never really fancied project life as I view it as a commitment I would never keep too but some of the supplies are so yummy so maybe I will be tempted to join my friends class even if it is only to use the supplies for slightly more traditional scrapping. I have done divided pages before now too which are not exactly project life, but do allow for more photos to be included on a page … So never say never!

Last night I was at Helen’s scrap booking class and so have some new yummy papers to play with. Didn’t manage to finish a page whilst there but have three pretty much ready to assemble so hopefully this weekend I will manage to fit some scrapping in!

Happy crafting!
