ATC August … Time

To account for holidays etc we carried over the ATC swap for August to September so here is the delayed August swap I made! No work in progress photos I’m afraid … Just ploughed through and made them without stopping this time! They haven’t actually been swapped yet… But thought I would share them now anyway!

I started with some Whisper white cardstock and used Dylusions sprays and a the clock and cog mask to create the first layer of colour. Then I cut the cardstock into the size I wanted including rounding the corners.

Next I inked the edges with some distress ink and then started adding some stamping. First Dictionary in Midnight Muse, then the swirl from Everything Eleanor in Pacific Point, then a clock stamp from a random set of stamps in Gumball Green.

Then I took some pages of book print (Charlie and the Great glass Elevator to be precise) and stamped the fabulous jigsaw clock heart that my lovely friend Darcy designed in Memento ink onto it. I coloured one section in Island Indigo and then covered the book print in Versamark and clear embossing powder to make the ink pop and the heart shiny once I had heated it. I then cut out the heart ready to adhere to the stamped and inked background. I used Mod Podge for this to make sure it stuck nice and flat.

Then I cut the mounts to size 1/8″ bigger than the stamped pieces in Midnight Muse. I then took some silver coloured clock charms, threaded them onto silver bakers twine, and adhered them over the clock in the heart, wrapping the twine round the back. Then stuck them onto the mount.

I love how these turned out and of course because the mask and ink pattern on the first layer is different for each one they are all a little bit unique whilst remaining very very similar of course!

Happy crafting!
