Happy Monday everyone!
Time for some zingy bright colour in your life?
This is a lovely bright peachy orange colour, but not one I use very often. I decided to rummage through the DSP pile looking for it … And found this International Bazaar DSP which I thought was scrummy, but a little busy looking. So I decided to tone it down a bit. I chose Crumb cake as both the layering colour, and to stamp onto, and chose a doily to also make the slightly masculine paper pattern, more feminine.
I decided that the Pleasant Poppies stamp would look good in the ink colour, so stamped it and then water coloured it with the inks in the Tangerine Tango & Pear Pizazz. Then I added the sentiment, and some paper flowers, followed by a wooden flower embellishment with a brad in the centre. Oh and underneath the stamped topped and the flowers is some Crisp Canteloupe stretchy ruffle trim too.
Love the subtle way this card now looks, even though the main colour is the Tangerine tango just by choosing a neutral cardstock like the Crumb cake.
