Well I have reached the end of the year of my Colour My Monday challenge. I have documented all but three of the main SU colours, and all of the 2012-14, 2013-15 & 2014-16 In colors too!
It has been great using colours I wouldn’t normally use, and seeing where the colour takes me. But there is one of the colours I haven’t done yet which is actually my favourite colour!
Yes I adore Island Indigo … Always have, and suspect always will!
The card I made this week is at odds with the time of year, but never mind… It does show Island Indigo off nicely!
I used the summery Gingham Garden DSP which has the main colour of Island Indigo as its base. Then some Daffodil Delight DSP around which I wrapped some Island Indigo bakers twine. Then a stamped sentiment from a Craft Stamper magazine, which I layered with the coordinating cardstock. Then three little flowers from the Petite Petals set, stamped in Melon mambo and punched with the coordinating punch! Finally some little pearl gems for the flower centres and doodled borders. Love this.
Really this is a lot of colour, but that seems a perfect way to end the year of colour!
