Happy Monday!

Hope you are having a fab Monday! I am rather late with this as got carried away Art journalling… Oops … Ah well better late than never. I am now on my last of the current Stampin Up colours to showcase, and left rather an odd colour to the end. Not sure how I feel about this colour!

It’s another colour I don’t have the ink pad or Stampin write marker for so had to plump for some cardstock. It then needed a panel creating to liven it up and focus instead. So I chose the Papermania postcard stamp which I have probably had in my stash for over a year and never used. Just never remember about it but spotted it on my trawl through one of the baskets and decided it would do the job perfectly.

I stamped it wonky, then masked it and added the crumb cake ink around the outside. The dauber I used had some of the irridescent glimmer ink on it so there is a shimmer to this… Nice.

I then stamped the text from French Foliage set in Baked Brown Sugar. Next I took the Bliss set (one of my first ever SU stamp sets… Still love it. I stamped the flourish, then the butterfly onto separate whisper white cardstock and punched it out twice using the two butterfly punches. I outlined the bigger butterfly with a Chocolate Chip pen, then created a border for the panel using the same pen. I mounted it onto the Wild Wasabi cardstock and did the same border effect on that too.

Next I added the splodges from French Foliage in Early Espresso and then created two toppers. The first a Papermania stamp which I punched out. This was stamped straight onto the coloured cardstock. I then did the same with the sentiment and edged this in the same way as the other panels. Finishing touches were some pearls.

So now I have finished my SU colour marathon … Won’t be long till the new catalogue brings us some more colours of course, and maybe my next Colour My Monday will feature the Distress Inks I own… But I know for now, this challenge is done!

Happy crafting!
