Have I told you I am friends with the ever so talented Darcy from Art-and-sole blog fame… And designer of fab Eclectica3 stamps for Paperartsy? Well I am. As a result whenever she gets new stamps released I am like a proud chicken clucking over them all as if they were children. And of course I am straight to my favourite stockist to order at least one stamp set.
So this is me yesterday once they arrived…
And then fast forward one day… To my first creation with them…
I adore these floral stamps she has designed, so funky and out of this world! Love them!
And that sentiment is a perfect one for me.
So how did I do this? Well I used paint for a change from all the ink I’ve been playing with recently. I scraped some red paint as a base, then stamped over it using the little leaf background stamp.
Then on separate cardstock I scraped the Orange paint over it and over stamped the big flower head and cut it out. Next the pod type flowers on stems which I scraped the yellow paint over and added a little blue dot to it.
The sentiment then was stamped and the blue paint scraped over, before outlining and cutting it out. I then edged the panel with black ink. Next I took a panel slightly bigger and used the little leaf background stamp to make a border. Then edged it with ink and added the other panel on top.
Not sure if this will be a card yet, or a page for my journal…. But loved playing with these stamps … Now please go coo over Darcy’s new range … I only bought one of the four big plates and one mini… She has four big plates and 8 minis so I know there will be something you will love in all of that!
