Quick watercolour for the chauffeur

Posted by

No blog posts for a few days as not had time or space to create. Fingers were itching to get something made!

Tonight I am at the Lowry but in role as chauffeur for the parents who are watching a show I saw last year.  Whilst grabbing a coffee in an empty theatre bar I grabbed my watercolour set that’s been languishing in the bottom of my bag untouched for ages and sketched and painted this interpretation of the Imperial War Museum North….

Ok my drawing and colours are interesting but quite pleased with my interpretation of the building and some of the light reflections.

Love the architecture and Salford Quays area. So inspiring. Just wish I could draw well enough to capture it.

Now back to coffee and my book whilst I wait for the parents to finish watching the show…. For those of you interested they are watching the fabulous Vincent & Flavia in Dance til Dawn. I recommend this show to anyone who loves theatre and dance.  Wish I was also in the theatre but couldn’t justify the cost having already seen it…. ah well back to my book and coffee.

Happy crafting!
