So in a complete change of style I am sharing two cards I made a couple of mornings ago using a kit (yup a kit) I bought ages ago. I bought a full kit of papers and projects and decoupage sheets, along with some stamps, from C and C. This is not the sort of thing I do much of these days but I hadn’t been able to resist because of the subject matter… Roald Dahl. I love the Quentin Blake illustrations of my favourite books, so just couldn’t resist.
Anyway the kit arrived, and I really struggled to be inspired to make anything as I am out of practice of doing this sort of thing, so it has sat there largely untouched. But then I fancied making the first card below for a work colleague who is leaving and thought it worked for her… So I got stuck in with the foam pads…
I actually enjoyed putting these together, it was therapeutic to not have to think too much. I’ve even ordered myself some pin flair glue hell to do the other decoupage sets in the kit (so much easier than foam pads). The end result is also so lovely – with such fab illustrations it could hardly look bad though!
