Gelli Plate, Masks/Stencils, Watercolor wings

Happy birthday Mum!

Today my fabulous Mum turns 70!  It’s hard to believe looking at her, but she has indeed reached this amazing age.

So of course I needed to make her a lovely card to mark the occasion, and couldn’t resist using the new Watercolor Wings stamps which I love.

I decided to use the gelliplate to stage the stamping for the background, and a clarity framer stencil.  Then I went for the stencil brushes and the dotty wave stencil for the background too.

I then added the large butterfly, to which I did two layers and affixed it so it stood proud on the page.  I used the Spectrum Noir pencils to add shading to the square panel and finished it off with a hand stamped sentiment.

Love the way it came out.  A nice mount too using the coordinating colour card stock, then added some more stamping and shading on the envelope too to help it coordinate.

Here are some close ups…

Happy birthday Mum!

Loads of love as always.

Happy crafting!
