Birthday club card no 2

Another of those inky backgrounds transformed.

This time shabby shutters, evergreen bough and faded denim… Such a nice combo and a bit more subtle than I thought it would be.

This time I added some modeling paste, coloured with some paint, through a Paperartsy stencil.  I didn’t cover the entire paper, but about three quarters of it and then left it to dry.

Next I added some stamping… First the butterfly, then the text and patterned elements into the background.  I stamped the butterfly again onto card, adding ink using a paintbrush, and dotting some glossy accents to add texture.

I then added a sentiment (SU one) onto separate cardstock, inked the edges and raised it onto foam pad for dimension.

Pop back again tomorrow to see the final piece and how I created a very different look of birthday card for the Paperartsy birthday club.

Happy crafting!
