So this year I have decided to challenge myself to make a set of cards, scrapbook page or journal layout using each of my stamp sets as I know I have some I rarely use! Time to change that!
This time it was the turn of Awesomely Artistic to come and play. I started with two pieces of white cardstock which I masked off to leave a panel into which I stamped the flowers and splodges in Wisteria Wonder, the circles in Perfect Plum and the leaves in elegant Eggplant. Then I sponged some Wisteria Wonder to define the masked panel.
I added a border on two sides using promarkers and then die cut the fancy Happy Birthday from the BlackBerry Bliss cardstock.
Next it was time for a shiny embellishment… time to heat emboss the dragonfly…
… and cut them out.
I ended up with two mounts for the topper to finish off and of course a couple of gems.
And here is the finished card.
I also gave the envelope some prettification!
A simple masking job and then stamping.
Loved how this came together. I loved this set in the catalogue and have not used it that often … not sure it’s for passing over yet though… wonder if anything else will get made from this by the end of the week.
Happy crafting!
