Art journalling sample

Earlier today I shared with you the journal page I made as inspiration for the Art journalling session with friends.  That was a BIG job.  This inspiration sample was a LOT quicker.

I started with the digital stamp I had originally coloured for the journal page and didn’t end up using… and a tag… and some distress inks.

I thought the purples would work with the colours on the girl… so I inked and stencilled the tag.

Because the tag was looking a bit dingy I added some abandoned coral to the flowers stencilled to brighten it a bit.

Then I inked some seam binding with the same colours and added this to the tag by stapling a bow of sorts.

I added the girl, a quote stamped in lots of fonts. And then liberally sprayed using lots of different su markers.  I also went over the line art of the digi stamp to make it look more hand drawn by me than printed out.

The finishing touch was to add some glossy accents to the flowers in her hand.

Done in about 20 mins and most of that was stamping the words and cutting them out.  Quite a contrast to the journal page.

Happy crafting!
