Hello! This week it is my turn to host the challenge at Fab’n’Funky and I chose Winged Things! Be it fairies, birds, butterflies or planes I want to see things featuring wings! So please pop over to the blog and join in.
This week Lacy Sunshine are sponsoring the challenge. I used this image called Rory Catching Butterflies which is ever so cute.
I decided to go for a big image and to make a change from the usual white cards so instead printed onto cream laid paper and use a cream card blank as the base.
I cut the image out using a fiskars oval cutter and coloured the image using spectrum noir pencils because I love the way the colour picks up the texture of the paper. I creates a lovely effect. I really think it works well when colouring fabric.
I edged the oval with ink and then chose this striking paper from the stash that was from an old Halloween themed set called Howlstooth and scaringbone. I softened it by adding the seam binding and flower from the stash though.
The sentiment came from an art deco magazine set and I thought it worked well with the image.
So please do come see what everyone else made and make me something with wings!
