DT: Fab’n’funky : no patterned paper

Hello! It’s Wednesday and it’s time for a new challenge at Fab’n’Funky.   This week the challenge is not to use patterned paper and I decided to make two projects. For the first I am using this lovely image from Lacy Sunshine, Rory Catching Butterflies which is from our sponsors this week.

Here is my card….

But hang on… that looks like patterned paper. …. but no it is actually where I wiped my brayer whilst gelli printing and it made this lovely colourful but grungey paper… so strictly speaking not patterned paper!

I coloured the image using inktense blocks and a water brush.  Then punched the butterfly out of a scrap of the painty paper and die cut the sentiment.

Lovely simple card.

The second card I used Lacy Sunshine Rory Cherry picking.
I coloured her using felt tip pens… a mix of brands. Then I die cut her out in a large oval.

I then cut one side off and mounted it onto the pale green card blank.

I added the sentiment to the little stamp piece and some card candi. Another cute card.

Now come and join us at Fab’n’Funky for this weeks challenge.

Happy crafting!
