The lovely Karen Haylesden (aka Kassa) has a really cool way of colouring images using Distress inks as watercolours. I decided to practice my way of doing this Kassa style.
I used an image I printed on hammered card. Ideally it would have been watercolour card but it was what I had to hand so went with it! The image was a freebie I was directed to through one of my DT groups from All Dressed Up… and found they have an Anything goes challenge at their blog as long as you are using their images… so I am of course entering that challenge!
I started with a base of spun sugar, then Worn Lipstick, Wilted violet and Salty ocean. I let it dry in between layers.
How cute?
I dies cut out the image and printed it a second time so I could layer up the sentiment a bit.
Then chose two pieces of paper from the stash box and some stickers and pearls.
Love this style of colouring and whilst I am nowhere near as talented as Kassa I do love how this worked.
Happy crafting !

I love the watercoloring look! I wouldn’t have thought to do the puppy in those colors, but it looks great! I may have to try that sometime. Thanks for joining us at All Dressed Up Challenges.
