Yes still obsessed with the ATC making from scraps on my desk!
These started life as some cardstock I had been using as scratch paper underneath other projects. I cut it up into slightly smaller than ATC size and then put them on the pile to be used whenever I needed to do an ATC.
Then I used some lovely leaf paper I got in a swap as a palette… because I knew that the colours would work with the paper for such a purpose. I then tore this up and stuck it down randomly with Matt medium. I also had some pieces of music that had some texture paste wiped off through a stencil that I hadn’t thrown away either so I added those into the mix too!
Next a layer of white gesso.
This helps to make the random papers and colours become more of a cohesive background. I then added some iridescent medium through a stencil. I love this stuff… it’s so cool and shiny shiny!
The next day I added Brusho in lemon and scarlet. Here they are whilst still wet and vibrant… but as they were over gesso I knew they would be much paler once dry.
Fast forward a couple of days to last night when I finished these off! I added the angel fibre fabric stuff onto both of them and then found some vintage images I could use for one and a mystical type image for the other. These were from a set of things a friend gave me that she had no use for and if I am honest I wasn’t sure I would find a use for either… I have now… perfect ATC toppers! I love how the little images look nestled in the angel fibre fabric. So pretty.
Now to finish them off… the lady got a flower and then some shimmery ink added to accent her hat and pearls and the flower. Then mounted onto the cardstock and a little shadow added using Inktense pencils and water. Of course a word sticker too.
The little mystical scene just needed the word sticker and some of the shimmery ink for the frame.
Now I’ve found these little pics I can’t wait to make more of these… ho hum! Definitely ATC obsessed!
Entering these into the Autumn Day challenge at anything but cute.
