The latest theme for swapping over at the mini marvels Facebook group is to include a house. The project is wide open to any kind of project… as long as it’s small. I originally was going to make three ATC’S but based on the fact I have made lots of ATC’S recently I decided on something a bit different.
I grabbed a 4 x 4 canvas board and added distress crayons to it. Then I added gesso and dried it before adding more distress crayons. Then I used a baby wipe to remove some of the top layer of colour through a stencil. It gave quite a subtle effect but I liked it.
I then grabbed a scrap of book print I had done some Gelli printing on… this is from the ATC stash of stuff I’ve cut up ready to make ATC’S from. I tore round the edges and then adhered it to the canvas with Matt medium. Then I added some hessian and a tiny scrap of waxed paper.
I stamped the little house stamp that came on a Craft stamper magazine and coloured it using Promarkers. I then cut it out and added that to the canvas too.
The sentiment was a piece of balsa wood I had on my desk. I stamped the letters for the title and then using embossing powder and versamark edged it, and the canvas board with a coordinating dark pink powder. I love the effect this gives.
So this will get swapped at random with another person in the group. .. Can’t wait to see what I get!
