Playing with Distress Inks

Today I am sharing a card I made a few weeks ago for my friend’s, Sue, birthday. It was a chance for me to play with Distress inks as I haven’t used them in a while due to my obsession with Distress Oxides.

So I blended Shaded Lilac, Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon together and then added the stencilling using a Dylusions stencil.

I then added the circles using a SU stencil and black versafine.  And then I grabbed my stamp platform and the butterfly basics stamp set. I inked the images several times to make sure that they were very black.

I finished with a sentiment stamped and heat embossed on the little banner and a card candi.

Love how vibrant this is and the modern elements to the card. I also love how the linen card stock added another texture to the background.

Happy crafting!
