Distress oxide ink, Masks/Stencils

Countdown to Christmas ATCs pt8

Hi

Two more for the Christmas card topper stash!

This time I went back to distress oxides but changed the colour scheme. I’ve done a lot of fresh colours so far so wanted more of a vintage look.

I started with this background using frayed burlap, fired brick and walnut stain.

Then I added stencilling using a Tim Holtz stencil.

I then added a little stamping with some dots and cut it into the two atc panels.

Next to choose the feature image. I decided on altenew stamps that had been free with a magazine. I chose the stamp and heat embossed it in a dark burgundy that I thought worked with the colours in the background. I then flicked some shimmery ink onto the card and added the sentiment.

Love how different these are from my previous ones. ATCs are such fun to make. They don’t take long and each one can take on its own individual personality. Love it. Might have to continue this series for quite some time as it is inspiring me time and time again. Hope you are enjoying it too!

Happy crafting!
