I needed another just because card and decided to make a slightly more mixed media card but wanted to keep it to a 1 layer card.
This is what I ended up with.
I masked off the edges to leave the rectangle and then added layers of ink to it. Then I added gesso through a stencil using a palette knife, let it dry a little and then wiped it with a baby wipe.
Next I added distress oxides through another stencil. This was the fab hieroglyphic stencil my friend Deborah Wainwright designed.
To this I then added more oxides on top and flicked it with water. This pushed the stencilling pattern back into the background and so i added some white paint pen marks to add to the pattern. Next I decided to add the main image… one of the figures from Beautiful You. I stamped it and the sentiment using the stamp platform so I could make them very strong impressions.
Then I added more colour using the oxides and some white pigment ink to define the woman.
I then added some gold pen marks and a doodled border and some flicks of white and shimmer ink.
Love this card. I had no idea when I started I would end up using these stamps… but they worked perfectly.
Happy crafting!

Just love this set of stamps!!
Love how you’ve used the colouring to emphasise the lady.
