One of my online crafty friends (who I have been lucky enough to meet in person) had a special birthday last week… so I made her a card. I chose a very mixed media style as I knew she would appreciate it. I added Tim Holtz tissue wrap to the Lemon cardstock and then added two gelli printed pieces I had on my desk. Then I added some Bistre powder and some gesso to blend and tone them together a little more.
Then I chose some images from a printed sheet I had to create the collaged girl. I added some pen work to add definition and then added the printed sentiments.
Next I added the piece to a piece of gelli printed book print (I actually think the book print came from Pat originally!) And then added this to a piece of white cardstock.
I also added some treasure gold in a few places to give it some rich shine.
I then forgot to take a pic of this mounted onto the card blank (a5 sized blank) because I was keen to get it in the post.
But before I did I also decorated the envelope.
I added some gelli printed circles, stamping and lots of doodling to finish it off and then the address was in the centre where I had kept the space clean with a post it note mask.
I know Pat received this late… but hey better late than never!
Happy crafting!
