Today I have a postcard to share which I made for a swap at Postcard Art swap group over on facebook. The theme for this month was Unicorns and I decided to use the Claritystamp unicorn I had in my stash.
I stamped it with archival in grey and then coloured it with watercolour pencils before blending and activating them with my wink of stella. I added a generous amount of the wink of Stella and then before it had dried I added clear embossing powder. Once the first layer was dried I added more wink of Stella and then more embossing powder. This gave the unicorn some dimension, shine and plenty of magical shimmer.
Then I decided to use the Happy Celebrations paint swipe stamp to add a rainbow behind the unicorn.
I stamped it in the rainbow colours being careful to clean it well between colours and before repositioning. Once I had done that I took a clean tissue and wiped the ink off the embossed image and slightly blended the inks in the background.
Next I stamped and embossed the sentiment in Black and then added the grey ink to the edge. I had used mountboard for this postcard so I knew it would be sturdy and required no other mount.
Finally I added some splashes of ice mixed with water to add yet more magical shimmer!
Happy crafting!
