I got busy in the crafy room last night… this time I made these for the UK stampers forum swap but kept with the Lets face it theme for the group I organise…
I decided to create a really textural and organic background so after adding distress oxides in picked raspberry and shaded lilac i added splatters and streaks of distress resist and then added two different embossing powders … one of which is the baked texture ones by Seth Apter which creates a really cool texture.
Then I stamped and coloured the Badass artchick girl image using the same distress oxides and some sparks paint. I fussy cut her out and then glued her to the coin.
I kept with the same idea as last time of using shrink plastic to create the sentiment which meant I could stamp a sentiment that would ordinarily be too big for a coin … this time I used the clear plastic.
Love how these came out and how different they are to the other coins I made last week even though they have the same theme.
So these are for a swap but also entering them into the current Paperartsy challengewhich is AT Coins… And I was really honoured that some of my coins were chosen as inspiration on the blog post. (Feeling special!). I’ve been enjoying all the DT posts so far… especially love Helen Chilton’s project with all the Lynne Perella images. So cool… And perfect inspiration for the Lets face it theme!
Happy crafting!
