Special thank you cards

There is a bit of a back story to this post but will put the artwork up first to get that out of the way…

Four thank you cards made from one piece of masterboard and some shiny sparkly bits and bobs…

A painted background using fresco finish paints and some stamps from Creative Stamping magazine. I then cut it into squares and mounted it on either copper glimmer or copper foil cardstock.

I finished off the cards with some die cuts using the Tim Holtz wildflower dies.

And then some hand drawn lines and some white pen work.

So the story behind these cards…

At work I attended a meeting and some foster carers came to talk to social workers about the work they do and how workers can help the foster carers and what makes then feel valued. Well when one said a thank you card they had received from a worker meant something to them… so i had an idea… if I make a stack of thank you cards for the social workers to use when they feel the need to thank our amazing foster carers then I can feel like I am also doing my thing!

So this is the first of the stack of cards I’m going to make … and I urge you to do something like this for your local authority … I am sure that super busy social workers will appreciate the gesture for them… and the hardworking foster carers will get a treat and a nice acknowledgement of their actions.

Happy crafting!
