Hello… in amongst all the Christmas madness I have a bright and cheery birthday card to share… which happens to be my design team contribution to the Back to Basics and Beyond challenge blog… and the challenge is … RESIST TECHNIQUE.
one of my favourite uses of this technique is to create a water colour background so that’s exactly what I did!
I used the Handcarved background stamp which I partially inked with versamark, stamped and then heat embossed. Then using diluted brushos in purple colours and a brush I added the colour. I also splashed colour to add to the messy vibrant patch of colour.
I chose a focal image (digital stamp from all Dressed up) and coloured it with spectrum noir pencils. Then I Found a happy birthday sentiment in my stamps and added that on a die cut circle. I edged the circle to make sure it popped with a stampin write marker.
Finished it off with some sequins.
