Today I have three ATCs I made for the swap at UK stampers forum where the theme is People.
I started with some scraps of card sent to me with another swap which were sturdy and also coated. I knew I was unlikely to use them as they were so chopped them up, stuck them down to create some textures…
… and then coated them in black gesso. I then heat embossed over the gesso with a translucent dark red powder using stamps from a recent Making Cards magazine set and Timeless Textures.
Next I added more texture using a stencil and some clear gesso. This didn’t retain as much of the pattern as I had hoped as the gesso seeped under the stencil but it still looked cool when dried.
Next i added some of the sparks paint in a few areas just to add a different finish.
Then I moved onto my focal image of the girl in the stamp set and stamped her using Memento ink.
Then set to on colouring in using my promarkers.
I fussy cut her out and added her to each card and then used some scraps of black shrink plastic and craft white ink to create the sentiment.
Finally I added the finishing touch of the glossy accents on her glasses!
Love how these came out…
Happy crafting!
Catherine
