Almost every month I join in with the swap of a decorated tag over at UK stampers forum and this month I’ve decided to join in again.
I grabbed lots of strips of scrap paper that were sitting on my desk to coat a tag. They happened to have come from the Christmas papers but weren’t overtly Christmas designs so work for anytime of year.

Once glued down I scraped some gesso down the centre and as it’s old gesso it’s gone quite thick so perfect for stamping into as it holds the shape well. I used a random text stamp from an old magazine set.

Next I stamped the Art by Marlene beach hut stamp onto a panel of cardstock and added that to the front of the tag using dimensional tape.
I coloured elements of the stamp with my water colour pencils and added glossy accents to the roof to add more dimension.
I then added an Art by Marlene sticker as the title and doodled round it.
I finished the tag with black archival ink on the edge and some scraps of ribbon and twine through the top.

Love how this came out and pleased I could use up some of the off cuts that were on my desk for this tag.
Happy crafting!
