The theme of the postcard swap for January is bows and buttons although I interpreted it as ribbons and buttons and made this scene using ribbons and a button and lots of messy sewing.
I started by gathering ribbons and adding them to a postcard to create the scene. Then I set to with the sewing machine.
Admittedly the sewing machine drove me mad as there were many many issues and the machine was determined to make me throw it out. But I kept going and was happy with the end result.
I added the ribbon flowers and the button sun using glue and then adhered the whole panel to a postcard base.
