Dies, Watercolour paints

Happy birthday Auntie M (For a few weeks ago)

It was my Auntie Margarets 70th birthday at the beginning of the month, but she didn’t want a fuss so I decided not to emblazon her card with a number!

Instead I made this pretty and delicate card.

I used the stamps from last month’s Creative Stamping magazine to create a subtle background on the card and for the focal image which I coloured using watercolour pencils.

I then chose some tiny stamps from another set in the stash to add the little flower in Crisp Cantaloupe ink and the little heart in the pale Soft Sky ink just to add a little colour in the background. The hearts I added some wink of Stella to as well, again subtle but there if you are looking at it.

Next I chose the die cut window and the sticker onto which I embossed the sentiment from my box of embellishments. I love how the added dimension of the window just adds some thing special to the card.

I finished with sequins in the pale blue and the stamped green Happy which if I am honest I would have preferred as a die cut, but I don’t have the word happy as a die cut, so need to add that to my shopping list.

Super happy with this pretty card for my lovely auntie M.

Happy crafting!
