Masks/Stencils, Visible Image

Happy Mothering Sunday!

Happy Mothers day to my Mum, and all the other mums out there. I’m hoping for a cup of coffee in bed from my daughter! And them going to have to endure seeing my mum and remaining at a distance from her as my parents and auntie are self isolating as they are in the vulnerable group! I am lucky that I at least get to see them in person though as I’ve got some shopping supplies to drop off with them, but will be remaining on the opposite side of the room for our short stay and they will be cleaning up where I have been as soon as I leave.

Here is the bright and cheery card I have made for my Mum which will hopefully help bring some sunshine into her day.

I went very zingy and rainbow!

I used a stencil I got with an Indigo Blu magazine kit and added ink through it before then adding glossy texture paste through the stencil and letting it dry.

I then created the focal points with more inking and some stamps. The butterfly is a Visible Image stamp.

I also created some mats to the images using white card and the one for the main background I did blending round the outside to match the main focal images.

I stuck them all together using foam tape to raise the focal image.

I then used some sequins so embellish.

I decided to decorate the envelope too using the stamp platform to stamp and add different colours.

Love how this came out, hope Mum does too!

Now happy mothers day to all who celebrate and love to all those for whom today might be a difficult day!

Happy crafting!
