DT: Craftyhazelnuts Christmas challenge blog: Joy

This week at CHNC Hazel gave us the optional challenge of using the word Joy in our projects so of course I went straight to my Peace and Joy stamp and die set. I decided on using the die cut word rather than stamping and die cutting and then wanted to add the wreath too from the Wreath Builder set.

I used some old patterned paper from the stash and then used a few of the All the Trimmings embellishments to decorate the wreath.

I also changed up the sentiment a little to heat emboss in white rather than stamp in colour or black.

I layered up the thin green die cut three times for dimension and the largest bottom layer I added pool party ink to the textured white cardstock to blend with the colour scheme of the paper.

Love how this came out… and know exactly who this going to already! In fact I started writing my Christmas cards last weekend so I know if I have enough or if I need to do a final push on making for the next couple of months. The good news is that I should be fine and should have enough with any I make between now and then as extras… and I’m pretty much done with the sets I need to gift too!

That’s the good news about making them all year round! No mad rush at the end!

Happy crafting!
