Flowers for every season, Joy, Peace & Joy

Stampin Up Sunday: pocket letter

Today’s Stampin Up Sunday is a bright and joyful pocket letter!

We were given the supplies and instructed to make a pocket letter for a swap partner at the online retreat a few weeks ago.

I decided to make mine using a mix of both in color dsp and the Flowers for every season dsp. I did lots of fussy cutting and decided to go for the main three colours of Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Bumble Bee.

I used whisper white for the bases and also added some white panels to break up the patterns. I also used the stitched shapes framelits and the Joy dies for the central title panel.

Each third has a base of one of the in colours and then either fussy cut flowers from the Flowers for every season dsp or a panel of the paper. I also included ribbons and gems on a few.

I then added the Joy die cut which I added as the central feature and the stamped sentiment. I had to do a bit of masking to just get the you rather than the full sentiment of “to you and yours”.

I then made little pouches for the back of some of the cards and added into them little treats of the cuts for the recipient using all the same colour scheme and idea of flowers.

Sincerely hope the recipient liked what I made and found the extras useful.

Loved making this. Took me a little while to make but really enjoyed myself.

And then you need to see what I got in return from Karen… it’s stunning and totally blew me away…

Of course it had made me want the Boho Indigo kit… she included lots of extras like die cuts and stamped images from the kit so going to be doing projects using them really soon!

Happy crafting!

  1. Both are very beautiful! Makes me miss when I was in a pocket letter swap group. I had to bow out when I lost my job and couldn’t afford anymore.
