Stampin Up Sunday: Peace and Joy postcard

Hello! Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I had another play with the Peace and Joy stamp and die set, this time to create a postcard for the UK stampers forum swap. It is similar in theme to the tag I made and shared a few weeks ago.

I actually did start making this at the same time using my favourite technique… mop up! I used glossy photo paper to mop up the watery distress oxides… this creates an awesome and very quick and easy background! When you polish away the oxidisation element it stains the glossy paper and gives a lovely marble effect.

Then I added the stamping … again this stains the paper and leaves it still shiny! I created the stamping in a circle around where I knew I would place the die cut. I think this is the first project I’ve used the “star” stamp… love how funky it looks… need to use that again!

Next I added the die cut…

… and the little sentiment strips. Then I added the panel to the black cardstock postcard.

Love this shiny postcard. Nice and seasonal and another way of using the fabulous Peace and Joy stamp and die set! Just love this set!

Happy crafting!
