DT: Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge

Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog.

Today I have my design team contribution to Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge. It’s the Christmas card I’ve made for my parents using lots of patterned paper from an old Making Cards magazine set.

I went a little overboard and used three patterns and some die cutting and some stamping! There is quite a bit of dimension too with foam under the deer and the word Christmas!

Really loved making this card.

The papers are a bit quirky and modern but with traditional images like pointsetta and presents and pinecones.

I decided I wanted to use the deer from a very old Creative Stamping magazine though and the Wreath from the Wreath Builder dies… as I say I went a little overboard!

But hey it’s for my parents so why not?

You can probably see on the photo above I also added wink of Stella to the top layer of the Wreath too!

The funky letters are Claritystamps and I love this set for making cards personal as you can spell out anything and it has the little boxes for making it look finished and cool!

On the inside of the card I added more patterned paper and did a little fussy cutting.

And the envelope I used up the final bits and pieces of the paper!

All in all… lots of fun!

So here we go… we are in December… wonder how many cards I actually remember to send this year (I’m great at making but not sending!) … look forward to seeing your Christmas card makes as I blog hop around!

Happy crafting!
