Fancy Phrases, Flowers for every season, Lots to celebrate, Promarkers, Letraset, Ribbons, Scalloped tag topper

Tag Thursday – Flowers

Today I have a tag I made to accompany a gift I was sending to a friend.

It’s been a mentally tiring day today so I won’t blather on for long. Yesterday evening, not long after I posted, my body gave in to fatigue again so certainly didn’t end up on the wii fit! Managed a much better night’s sleep last night though so woke feeling better.

Unfortunately waking to the news of what went on in Washington yesterday didn’t help my mood. My view… well hoping that blog readers will agree and I don’t end up with scary messages as a result… that man needs arresting, and/or committing! He incited that and I am worried for the future for those in the US who want to progress and remain a sensible democratic country. OK politics over… back to the crafting and the pretty tag I made!

I used my scalloped tag topper punch to create it, with the gorgeous Seaside Spray cardstock. Then I added a strip of the Flowers for every season dsp.

I also added a the band across the tag with the reverse of the same dsp (always the handy thing with SU DSP is the coordinating reverse!).

I decided to use a sentiment from Lots to Celebrate and then the small flower sprig from Fancy Phrases.

Both of these I stamped in night of navy. The flowers I added a little bit of additional colour using promarkers.

I added the gems and some little white dots using a paint pen to outline the sentiment panel.

The ribbon for the top is from my bag of scraps. A bit like my quest to use up patterned paper I am on a similar quest with ribbon – I have a massive amount I just need to use up!

Now to head to bed and hope that tomorrow’s news may be better and calmer.

Happy crafting!
