Today’s Stampin Up Sunday is showcasing the gorgeous Birds and Branches bundle from the annual catalogue. I know I have new goodies from the Jan-Jun catalogue but this is what I wanted to play with.
I started by cutting some panels for a card and then stamped out the bird and flowers … couldn’t make my mind up on which colour bird so I did a few and then others will all get used at some point I am sure…

So then I did all my die cutting and decided to make use of the large aperture die… I think this is the first time of using this.
I decided to use the linen cardstock for white top panel and then added some ink to the leaves and branches with a water brush.

I decided to use the peach coloured bird, but the lighter coloured one. I also added some flowers and leaves I had die cut out and remembered to stamp the little legs sticking out of the bottom of the birds.
I decided to add some embossing and used the sentiment from Fancy Phrases stamp set and gold emboss it in the aperture onto the Crumb Cake layer.
Next I decided to emboss a frame to the white panel and I decided to have this layer raised up on dimensionals and have the linen thread wrap around.
I used the linen card to make a card blank as a top folding card. I lined the three panels up at the top and adhered them in place.
I finished the front with a bit of gold glimmer under some pearl gem stones.

I decided to add a panel of the Soft Sea Foam on the inside which I had due cut the edge of with the border die from the Birds and More die set.
Then I embossed the rest of the sentiment in gold onto it. I also embellished with a flower and a leaf die cut too.

So that’s my card for today’s Stampin Up Sunday.
Happy crafting!
