Stampin Up Sunday – UK Stampers Forum blues ATC swap – Berry Blessings

Hi lovelies… hope you are well this Sunday morning. I am fine, may have consumed a little more wine last night than strictly wise, but after a face mask this morning I at least look hunan again!

This morning I am contemplating exercise…. I think the hubby has popped for a walk after his trip to the tip this morning to dispose of excess boxes from our house. We are doing a step challenge again this weekend so I think he is trying to compete with the fact I was several thousand steps ahead at the end of yesterday… I don’t mind if he wins this weekend… if it means he actually got off his bum for a while and did a bit of exercise! So maybe I will sit and drink my coffee and not do a little workout whilst he is out? Decisions, decisions!

This afternoon the teenager and I are going to watch Anola Holmes. She’s already seen it but I want to watch it to, so a bit of a blanket session on the couch is planned, before hubby then gets the couch and TV for some football match… I think at that point crafting may happen! Talking of which…

Today I have three ATCs I made yesterday for the UK stampers forum swap using the fab Saleabration Berry Blessinga stamp set.

The theme of the swap was the blues and it had to be using shades of blue with black and white.

I chose to coat the ATCs cut from packaging with some Baltic Blue paperartsy chalk acrylic paint and then dragged the Mermaid colour over the top using a fan brush. Once it had dried I did a bit of stamping in a bright turquoise ink over the top but it didn’t show up very well.

Next I took pieces of scrap fabric and stapled them together with blue staples. I also had some blue and white twine I added into the mix.

I then stamped and cut out three sprigs with blueberries from the stamp set, just using the shading stamps and Night of Navy ink.

I added these on top of the fabric to create a cluster and adhered it to the ATC background.

Next I stamped from the Itty Bitty Sentiments set the little sentiment panels and added ink to the edges and a glossy accents top to give them dimension.

Finally I grabbed some gems from the stash to add to the background.

Love how these turned out… a really enjoyable play with blues!

Happy crafting!
