Banner Year, Inchies and Twinchies

Autumn inchies

Decided to make some inchies when clearing up the desk and I had some scraps of dsp and cardstock.

I grabbed the Banner Year stamps and onto the little 3/4 inch squares I stamped three leaf elements and then stamped the acorns on separate card and fussy cut them.

I decided to use tiny scraps of the Bedazzled speciality paper from Saleabration and also experimented with the edging of the panels and the way I laid them out!

Pretty chuffed with these little pieces of artwork. Sending them over to Sid for the UK stampers forum swap for this month!

Heart embellishments

Another swap with hearts! This time I had to make six embellishments for the recipient to use either in a journal or on a card etc.

Here is what I made…

Clockwise from top left…

1. a ribbon and muslin combo with a stamped and gilded heart and a little gem.

2. Canvas stamp with inky collage.

3. Collage paper onto pink card with washi tape and a stamped heart and stamped sentiment.

4. Twinchie with patterned paper and a plastic tape with stamped and embossed glossy hearts.

5. A tag with stamping and collage elements.

6. Little card with stamped and coloured cat and balloon image.

Love how they all came out.

Inchies for UK stampers forum

One more project for the heart 💜 filled month of February. This time inchies made for the UK stampers forum.

Used some patterned paper as the base, and then stamped the Badass stamp of two hearts onto them. I then added a strip of the navy washi tape.

I decided to add the sentiment (again a Badass stamp) and the little gem to finish off.

Love how the orange gem contrasts with the turquoise and blue inchies.

11 twinchies… love hearts

A challenge at the Inchies, Twinchies and more group for this month was to make 12 twinchies with the theme of hearts. I had so much fun pulling out all my heart themed stash!

First up is my favourite Darcy paperartsy stamp with the text. I stamped and embossed it in black and then added some metallic watercolour paints. Then a doodled edge!

Second a three layered twinchies and the top one stamped the Alpaca Pals stamp in pink. Then a sticker with a small layer of vellum underneath to finish off.

Next I used a heart stencil and embossed with some modelling paste… then when it was dry I added brushos with some sptays of water… love the texture and the joy if brushos. I added some twine and then an embossed heart on red card stock and then a canvas sticker.

This one more Darcy hearts (she has designed so many great heart stamps over the years) in the background. Next I added some Alpaca Pals stamps… the sentiment stamp I added on the white panel. The back panel I added the red blending. Then added the sentiment and the red little heart. I finished with some glitter glue for the heart.

This one is a play with the fresco finish paints to create the background and the panel to emboss the hearts on. I added some punchinella with staples. I added the smaller panel with the embossed hearts and then the sticker with a mount of the purple cards.

Next some more Darcy hearts… this time a simple stamping and colouring in job with Stampin Blends and promarkers.

The next a Darcy stamp embossed… then some washi on the panel underneath onto the Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Finished with the sticker sentiment and some gems.

Another embossed background with a different heart stencil. This time I added the colour with distress crayons. Then a larger sticker sentiment added to vellum and a piece of washi and stuck down with staples.

Another Alpaca Pals stamp with the cute doodled text hearts. Simple. Stamped on the Melon Mambo card and then added to the white twinchie with a black border to each layer. Added a gem to finish.

Another Darcy heart stamp embossed in silver as a stripe across the pink card twinchie. I also added the pink washi and then the heart gem and the sentiment, which I added glossy accents to so it was shiny.

The final one is a little pocket with some hearts in the middle and sewn around the edge with the top layer of vellum. I then added a heart on the top which I added glossy accents to. Finished with the sentiment sticker with a layer of red cardstock underneath.

Absolutely loved the playtime I had with this project… so much fun! Hope the recipient enjoyed them all as much as I enjoyed making them.

UK stampers forum inches swap

Hello! Thanks for popping by to my blog. Today has been a busy work day and then trying to increase my steps I did a little you tube video… I say did, but only actually managed half of it before exhaustion hit again.

Tonight the plan is to sort out my hair as I anticipate not getting it done until April as not just lockdown (should have been there last week) but also my hairdresser is expecting a baby in a few weeks so she won’t be considering hairdresser work for a few months to come. Will let you know how the teenager and I get on with dyeing my hair tomorrow !

Today I have a set of 6 inchies for you which I made for the UK stampers forum blog. I actually used them with leftover from the coins I made for my Facebook swap.

Once chopped into 1 inch squares i edged them with the sepia ink and then used a piece of card I had painted with the Guacamole paint to stamp the butterflies from an Indigo Blue stamp set. I then fussy cut each and added them to the inchies.

I decided to add some glossy accents to the body for each to make them dimensional and, well, glossy!

Cute inchies!

Santa’s suit twinchies

Today I am sharing some Christmas themed twinchies I made for a swap… and aren’t they the cutest with Santa’s suit stamps and tags!

I used the Heartwarming Hugs dsp for square panels just smaller than the 2″ white squares for the base and each of the white panels I edged using the Stampin Blends pens. The focal points were of course Santa and his outfit which I had coloured using a mix of the Blends and promarkers. And I die cut the tags and added snippets of ribbon and trim to them before adding them to the background twinchies.

Super cute! Mounted them on dinensionals onto the 4.5″ square panel ready to be received by the swap recipient.

Stampin Up Sunday: fancy phrases inchies

Today I have another swap project I made to share with you, this time using the Fancy Phrases stamp set to decorate some inchies.

The inchies are actually cut from the backing board from a foil sheet set … it’s quite thick and good for creating these little pieces of art.

I made these for the UK stampers forum swap.

I stamped them using soft suede ink and then edged each inchies with the same ink to frame them.

Then I used my Prismacolour pencils to add some colour to the flowers and leaves. I love the sketchy nature of these flower images, means no precise colouring is required.

I finished them off with some wink of stella which is difficult to photograph but think you can just about see in the pic above.

Stampin Up sunday: Bird and Branches inchies

This week I have an odd thing to share with you for my stampin up Sunday post… six inchies using the flower stamp from Birds and Branches.

I made these for a swap at UK stampers and as I haven’t got any other SU projects on that I can share I figured why not share these for the Stampin Up Sunday.

I painted the inchies I’d cut from thick cardboard using my fresco finish paints and then stamped the flower using black versafine ink.

Next I stamped them again in Calypso Coral, die cut them with the coordinating dies and used some old flower brads to embellish before sticking them to the inchies.

Not my usual style but fun inchies nonetheless. And a different stampin up Sunday for me to share!

Happy crafting!
