Christmas journalling… the pj’s! 15 minute challenge

Today I have another of the Journal with me pages in my Christmas journal. Once again I videoed the process so here is the Link.

I chose the busiest page in my journal where I had put down loads of scraps and then grabbed a whole load of supplies gifted to me during the advent coin swaps last year. Decided to journal the Christmas pj’s for last year, it was the first time we had even done matching pj’s, and hubby was far from impressed but went along with the fun despite a few moans!

I did the whole page in 15 mins inspired by the challenge over at Lollipop Box Club and it was good to push myself to make quick decisions. Even within the 15 mins I changed my mind quite a few times and faffed about with the eyelet setter for quite a while!

Love how this finished up with lots of layers and interest on the page and pleased how I used up lots of bits from the stash to make the page work.

Happy crafting!

Altered book journal page

Once again I picked up my altered ladybird book to do a journal page and the March Lollipop Box Club kit. I decided to document to pride I felt watching Maya doing her textiles gcse work … definitely fits in with the theme of things that make me smile!

I did video the process and so here is the link if you want to watch…

Junk journalling- Christmas journal

Hi there … I’ve somehow posted this earlier when I hadn’t linked up the video so posting it again now… sorry for the repeat project!

Another page added to my homemade Christmas journal. Again I went with a photo from 2020, this time 29th December, when we went for a walk in the snow.

I went for lots of texture with the stencilling and the crochet trim, lace and washi.

Super happy with it!

I added journalling behind the picture and on the tag.

If you fancy seeing how I made it and hearing my rambles, check out the YouTube process video.

Feathered friend AT Coins

Hello!

Today I have the Artist trading coins I make for the swap group I organise over on Facebook. This month the theme is feathered friends and I ended up with feathers floating round the craft room with what I ended up making!

I have videoed the process for making these if you are interested…. here is the link.

I started with Making Cards magazine papers and used Jofy stamp and a Crafters companion sentiment and the feathers from an old Artful Days goodie box… oh and some shrink plastic. Such fun!

Looking forward to seeing what the other swap participants make of this theme!

Stampin Up Sunday… artist trading coins

This week for the Stampin up Sunday Post I am sharing the coins I made for this month over at UK Stampers Forum. I also have a Video showing how I made these.

Loved making the bouquets of flowers to sit in the vases. So cute!

Love these pierced blooms dies and the Lots to celebrate jar and punch (I can report for those that watch the video that I managed to fix the punch after I finished filming – phew!).

Junk Journal Jan – March 2021

Today I did some finishing off on my junk journal and have actually completed the January to March signature.

Filmed a flip through which is here on my YouTube channel. I have a couple of pages however left to blog about so some of the video should be considered a sneak peek! Lol!

Anyway here are the pages I did today…

Firstly a simple page documenting my daughters 15th birthday with some pics I put on social media charting her growth into a beautiful young woman. I used the Art by Marlene collage paper as the backdrop and then some washi, an index card I cut up and some foam stickers and decided that was all I needed with all the pics.

Next a very plain page in comparison… some stencilling and washi tape and the photo on a flip out to hide the journalling… simple and works well with the brown paper page.

Finally the inside back cover which I had added a swap to and then some green spotty doily I also added the lacy trim to the edge with some very suspect sewing! Again let the pictures do all the work.

Looking forward to seeing whatbi can document for the next three months in the next signature!

Projects half done: Venetian Romance and… pierced blooms

Hi … how are we all?

Well it was another day of work today… and the first day of term for another odd term of home learning for the teenager. I sincerely hope the exams in 2022 still take into account the amount of time forced out of the classroom. But now is not the time to worry about these things and instead live each day as it comes!

Thought I would quickly also share with you my word of the year … I think it is appropriate given the current world situation.

SMILE.

Yes smile is my word of the year because I think it is an important and magical thing to do. Just think… you can change your mood by smiling, and that of others around you. Plus when smiling you don’t put food in your mouth so it might help with my plan to make healthier food choices! 🤣🤣🤣

Anyways… that’s my glimpse of life for now… onto the craft sharing… I have a project I worked on on Sunday… last chance to craft before work started and desk had to be converted back to work desk! And it was a project I uncovered during the big clear up that was a half planned one sheet wonder!

I must have cut this and started it either late October or early November but then got sidetracked with Christmas projects and covid!

So I decided to scrap the idea of one sheet wonder in the traditional sense and just use a few pieces to make a couple of cards… in fact these two cards…

I videoed the process (link) for those that fancy watching and listening to my waffling. I used the pierced blooms die cuts i had cut the other day and added those using the Melon Mambo for the flowers, rich razzleberry for the centres and Pretty Peacock for the leaves.

The sentiment I chose from the Lots of Love stamp set.

Finished off with the gems.

Simple and pretty cards… love the pop of pink against the coastal cabana card and paper. And plenty more of that paper left so no doubt there will be more Project half done posts to come!

Linda’s circle journal page… part two

Yesterday I shared the main spread I did for Linda but I also did some more pages for the fold in parts of her journal.

The video explaining it better is here. I say better… but the sound has gone all squiffy so sorry about that!

A change of pace from the other page but love this too! Also love I found a use for the twinchies I made and didn’t end up swapping… they worked perfectly on these pages.

Happy crafting!
