DT: Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge

Another month and another design team contribution to share for Craftyhazelnutspatterned paper challenge.

I went to town on this card and love everything on this… the digital image coloured with promarkers and paper pieced and then lots of layers of card and paper and doilies… and of course super cute die cuts.

And don’t forget the ribbon and glitter glue dots!

So this is what I did with my paper stash… wonder what the rest of the team did with theirs? Well it’s time to go over to the blog and find out!

Happy crafting!

DT: Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge

Hello… and how quickly we have already got to the beginning of April.

Today I have another design team contribution to make for Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge…where the challenge is to use some… you guessed it… patterned paper!

I managed to use two pieces of patterned paper, two washi tapes strips and a digi image I have had coloured for about 2 years just waiting to be used!

I wanted to keep it quite simple this month as the sentiment and image needed to be subtle and quiet against the pastel papers.

Now off to see what others have been up to with their stash of patterned papers over on the blog.

Happy crafting!

Hello there! Today I have some not very seasonal cards to share… but it’s never to early to start on your Christmas cards!

The challenge at Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge is to use up your stash of patterned paper. Well this is some of the stash I was given as part of a secret Santa gift and I made 4 cards in total… starting with this one as my contribution to the challenge.

I had kindly been gifted some stamped images, some patterned papers and some coordinating bows. I started by watercolouring all the images with some inks and a water brush.

Then did some cutting out and chose papers that worked with the images and colour scheme.

I decided to start with the kings image and do 4 cards using that rather than a mix of images. So in addition to the one above I made three others…

To get the added gold edges I used a sharpie pen to edge panels which is an old technique I hadn’t used in a while.

All the sentiments were stamped Emma Godfrey sentiments and embossed with a dark purple colour.

Really happy with this use of patterned papers and gifted images. Now off to see what everyone else has been up to with their stash of patterned papers!

Happy crafting!

Well hello! And happy start of advent. I have a very non-christmas card to share today that I made for my contribution to Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge. I actually stuck the video on to record the process… you can check this out here

And here is the card I made…

I love these funky papers and the contrast with the delicate butterfly from Watercolour wings. Adorable.

So now off to see what others have got up to with their stash of patterned paper over on the blog

Hello everyone… I have a lovely vintage themed card to share with you today using some Prima papers I got with a magazine and some bits and pieces off the desk. This is my contribution for the design team for Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge… where the challenge is to use your patterned paper!

I chose two pieces of the paper and adhered them to Old Olive cardstock and then added some small pieces to the tag which i had inked and a small piece of the cardstock so it created a few layers.

I chose some natural trim from my stash and then a chipboard teapot from an Artful Days Goodie box a few months ago. I painted it with the Art Alchemy Sparks paint to add the shine. Then I added the with love sticker and a little brad to add more interest.

Finally I can’t have a tag without some bakers twine from the top!!!

Off to see what everyone else has got up to with their patterned paper stash over on the blog

Hello … how is it already the 1st of October? Wow! This year is zooming past! And apologies no blog posts for the last couple of days… but I am back up and running (well stumbling along may be a more accurate description) again!

Well as it’s the first of the month I have a Design Team contribution for Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge.

I used Memories and More card pack from the Colour Theory suite and made an anniversary card.

I love how this came out, especially with the acetate overlay. Nice to use these project life style cards that I know I am unlikely to use for the reason intended!

Rightio… with that card shared it is now time for me to go check out what my fellow team mates have been up to with their stash of patterned paper!

Happy crafting!

DT Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge

Hello there… well the summer is coming to an end and it’s nearly time for me to go back to work and the princess to start at high school! And as it’s the start of the month it’s also time for my contribution to Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge. I really do have so much patterned paper to work through!

These particular papers came with a magazine along with the dies for the bird and the stamps I used for the sentiment.

Such a pretty set. Really need to get making more using these papers. But for now I’m off to see what everyone else has been up to with their patterned paper.

Happy crafting!
