Happy April fools day!
Here is my contribution to the Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge blog for this month.
I made this card as part of the stash my parents have… hopefully one of their friends will like it.
I used Papermania dsp and then the sky’s the limit stamp for the main topper which I embossed with a lovely blue embossing powder. Very cool!
Tonight I have the crafty gang back at my house for mixed media fun. With everything happening last year we had to cancel last year by July so it’s been a long time since we’ve got together… I expect there will be a lot of chatting … perhaps more than crafting! Ha ha ha… I shall have to crack the whip!
The request for the class was to create atcs of the sort I made for the Artful Days goodie box a few months ago. So I came up with the following three ideas.
This is a mix of distress ink, stickers, book print, embossing and iridescent medium through a stencil.
This is gelatos, tissue paper, trim, gilding wax and embellishments and finished off with some liquid pearls.
This is using paint as the medium and including stamping and different textured pieces of media. I love the metallic blue frame and the glittery gold combination inside the frame.
Wonder if the ones we make will be anywhere close to these samples? Or if we just spend the night chatting!
Either way… three more ATC’S for the challenge…
Today is the first day of getting the craft room back after a flying visit from the parents but feeling super tired so not made it into there. Good job I have an ATC I made already to blog!
This is the base of a Gelli print I did on a piece of patterned paper. I then stamped the white image in paint but decided it wasn’t clear enough so a change of plan!
I found a small tag and some fun stuff to embellish. I then added Inktense and distress crayons and doodling too.
Love how this came out and that this is actually using one of the lovely extras I got in a swap too!
I have a Gorjuss decoupage sheet that I got with a magazine that needed to be used today.
It resulted in this cute birthday card.
With the addition of a doily and some patterned paper … jobs a good’un !!!
Happy crafting !
Another design team contribution to share….
The challenge at Fab’n’Funky is to use nature as inspiration and I made this Christmas card using Lacey Sunshine digital stamp.
I coloured the image using distress inks as watercolours and added the embossed panel and die cut to add texture.
Another late project… this time my design team contribution for Fab’n’Funky where the theme is “autumn colours”.
I just grabbed what was on the desk that looked autumnal and let that guide me. I used Paper mania dsp and a Bugaboo digital stamp I’ve had for a long time and layered up the card.
Pop over to the blog and see what other delights of autumn have been created!
I am late … on a lot of things … especially some design team projects but think I may actually catch up today!
Here is the card I made for the Incy Wincy blog using a ppinky doll digital stamp. I do love these whimsical girls. And their slightly melancholic expressions just about suit my mood at the moment. But crafting is cheering me up!
The challenge was to use the following colour scheme… or at least 3 colours of it.
Well I am pretty confident I managed to capture those colours albeit in a slightly more vintage way.
So pop over to the blog and see how the rest of the team uses those colours.
A good friend of mine asked me to make some cards for him… Here is batch number one.
Pretty much an identical pair of cards…
… Some Papermania paper, cherry cobbler cardstock, some early espresso coredinations run through the Woodland embossing folder and sanded back. Then a fabulous stag stamped from a magazine set along with the sentiment.
Then added the die cut Joy from the wreath framelits set… so nice.
Love how elegant this is… and join me again over the next couple of days to see the others I made.
Yes I have got to the last batch of the cards I made at Helen’s crop a few weeks ago. These ones I actually finished off after the crop. First these elf ones were done at the time…
I borrowed Helen’s christmas cuties stamp set and added the gorgeous little elves and sentiments.
Here they are with the envelope to which I added the same image!
The other set have the little angel from the same stamp set… but I finished these cards after the crop!
How angelic? I finished the angels off with a touch of gold of her halo…. needs to be a shining one after all!
Yes i know its halloween but my post is all about Christmas… might post pics of the pumpkins tomorrow.
As promised another UIUS post all about the cards I made last week at the crop Helen organised.
These four were all using the bits and pieces I had to hand…
Some punched baubles and trees, all of which I ran through an embossing folder with a snowflake design to make them a bit different. The tree cards I added the die cut Christmas greeting words to them that I had inked in Cherry Cobbler. I then added some glossy accents to finish them off. This gives a lovely finish to the words.
For the bauble cards I stamped and inked a sentiment from a magazine gift which I picked up a couple of weeks ago.
Doing UIUS set for a crop was such an easy project to work on without too much thought … meant I could chat away with friends but still be productive.
